Jack Phemister makes Art Rock music for the modern misanthrope.
Raised in country NSW, Phemister resided in Melbourne from 2022 - 2024, where he and his band produced two full length albums ‘Death of the Close Minded’ (Oct 2022) & ‘Eternal! Eternal!’ (Apr 2024). His music is narrative-driven and ranges freely across the wastelands of musical genre, from lush & tender folk songs, to industrial art-punk sermons.
A creative guitarist and producer, Phemister’s recordings and live shows intertwine effects pedals, strings, horns, tight rhythm section playing and unwarranted magniloquence in a display tiptoeing the edges of virtuosic and theatrical.
In May of 2024, following the release of ‘Eternal! Eternal!’, Phemister relocated to the Czech Republic, where he is at work on new projects.
